Fishing License Washington
Author: admin

I’ll be in Washington, DC in middle October and I want to go crabbing. Where would I want to go do that?
I don’t want to break the law either so do you need to obtain licenses? No fishing poles so the only desire is shellfish. Thank you in advance!
Crabbing season is Apr to Dec. View site below for crabbing hotspots in MD. Note though that the crab population around the area has gone down significantly, so I am not sure how much crab you can actually catch.
According to the MD Dept of Natural Resources, a recreational crabber may crab without a license 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week from docks, piers, bridges, boats and shorelines using dip nets and any number of handlines.
